Dear Kiwis, Supporters and Friends,

A BIG shout out to members and guests who were able to attend our February 7th luncheon at Osteria Morini Restaurant, in Garden City.  Snapshots are available for viewing on our PHOTO page of this site.   Even though it was a cold day, the weather held up and it was bright,  beautiful and sunny!  Thank you to everyone who braved the chilly temperatures to be present.                                                                                                                                                                                                                    

For those who attended this meeting,  the announcement was made to inform members that I have resumed the office of President once again, due to both resignations of Patti Brennan and Susan Gorecki.   Our Long Island chapter would like to acknowledge  their contribution and express our thanks for the one year that Patti and Susan held office.

Countdown to the 35th Biennial Kiwi Convention, "Savannah Sojourn 2024",  April 23 - 25, is well underway.  For those still contemplating joining The Kiwi Club at convention this year, there is time to consider attending.  Deadline for registration forms and your payment is  April 10th.  If you have not received your Convention packet, kindly contact Connie Leighliter Budge at kiwiclb@aol.com or go to The Kiwi Club website:  www.thekiwiclub.org. and tap on the Convention tab, at the header.   This will bring you to the pertinent information and forms you will need to attend.  Please note that you must be a Kiwi member in good standing.  Which by the way, it is NEVER too late to join!  National membership dues are available at $25.00 for a limited time and to first-time members.                                                                                 

Our appreciation and gratitude to American Airlines for donating AAdvantage tickets for Convention 2024.  The generosity of AA is our only fundraiser towards supporting the programs and goals of The Kiwi Club.  All Kiwis should have received a set of AAdvantage miles tickets for purchase and/ or distribution at $10.00 per ticket.  On the last evening of our convention, the drawing will be held with winning tickets for 50,000, 100,000, and the Grand Award 200,000 AAdvantage miles.  Winners need not be present.  Don't forget to send those prized tickets back to The Kiwi Club with your name on it.  Remember, you have to be in it, to WIN it!

Chapter dues letters have been mailed to all active members.  I realize that there are a few snow birds in our group that are away or those on vacation.   As a reminder, please be sure to remit your checks as soon as you are able.

An exceptional time is planned for all Kiwis and their invited guests in Savannah.   I certainly hope that many of you will be able to join us at Convention 2024.   It will be a VERY fun time...guaranteed!
